    January 25, 2020 | 5 - 9 PM | Multipurpose Room | University of California, San Diego

  • About

Dining With Professionals (DWP) is a more intimate approach to professional networking events. Here, students can dine with a diverse group of professionals from local San Diego industries, research, and academia with the goal of providing aspiring scientists and engineers with the opportunity to network and delve into career-related discussions. We welcome students of all majors, disciplines, and cultural backgrounds to attend the event. Everyone plays a role in shaping diversity.

Through this network, SASE UC San Diego hopes that affiliates will have an opportunity to achieve internships or jobs and also find information to any questions regarding career interests. In addition to advertisement of their company, professionals will encounter unique and talented individuals with high potential to be employees or interns for their companies.

    Past Dining with Professionals Events

Since the beginning of SASE UC San Diego in 2011, Dining with Professionals (DWP) has been the flagship event that has brought intensive publicity, growth, and innovation to our organization. Most importantly, our members have learned and achieved an incredible amount through DWP. Since then, DWP has been changing and improving rapidly year by year. We have more than doubled our attendance from the first DWP to our most recent DWP held in November 2016. We have increased the quality of our events by seeking out only the best professionals who are willing to help curious undergraduate and high school students in their future professional careers by reaching down through a network path to these students. As each year passes, we listen and accommodate to the wishes and desires of our SASE UC San Diego community on who they would like to network with during the next DWP. Thus, it is because of our student body that we will host yet another DWP in Winter quarter, this upcoming February with professionals from a diverse range of industries so that each and every SASE UC San Diego community member is able to achieve their best through us.
